The questions we get on the phone

Straight answers, before you call

Pricing, timing, brands, rebates — the things homeowners actually ask us. If yours isn’t here, the phone’s faster.

Pricing & quotes
Why are your prices higher than the ones I see online?
Most online prices are for the equipment only — installation, removal, permits and disposal come later, from someone else. Ours are installed prices: the finished job in one number. A $2,499 furnace online isn’t running in your house for $2,499.
Is the $99 diagnostic really credited to the repair?
Yes. If you go ahead with the repair, the $99 comes off the bill. You only pay it as a standalone fee if you choose not to proceed.
How much does a new furnace or AC cost?
Furnaces start from $4,200 installed, central AC from $4,900 — both complete, not equipment-only. The exact number depends on your venting, ductwork and access, so we quote in writing after seeing the system. See the pricing page.
Service & timing
How fast can you get here if I have no heat?
We aim for same-day service where scheduling allows, Monday to Saturday, 7am–9pm. Call — you’ll get a real arrival window, not a whole-day wait.
Do you cover my area?
We serve Richmond Hill, Thornhill, Markham, Vaughan, Aurora and Newmarket — most within 25 minutes of our shop. If you’re just outside, call anyway; we often reach nearby towns the same week.
Equipment & brands
Which brands do you install — and are you a dealer?
We primarily install Arcoaire, Goodman, KeepRite and Bosch, and can source Carrier, Lennox, Trane and others on request. We service all major brands. We’re not an authorised dealer for brands we don’t represent — and we say so.
How do I know what size system my home needs?
We run a heat-loss calculation on site before recommending anything — free. Online square-footage calculators aren’t accurate; an oversized system short-cycles and wears out early.
Rebates & financing
How do the Ontario heat-pump rebates work?
Ontario’s Home Renovation Savings program offers up to $2,000 for gas-heated homes or $7,500 for electric, oil, propane or wood. Eligibility, equipment requirements and pre-approval through a participating contractor apply — ask us about your options.
Do you offer financing?
Financing is available — ask us when we quote. We’ll walk you through the options for your project.
Trust
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Eco Comfort is TSSA-registered (FS-R-53729). The owner holds G3, Gas Tight and CSST installer certifications; G2 gas work and 313D refrigerant work are handled by certified technicians on our team. We’re fully insured and WSIB covered. See our credentials page.
