Signs your AC needs attention

Warm air or weak cooling — low refrigerant is one possible cause, but electrical, airflow and compressor problems can produce the same symptom. We test before recommending a repair.

The unit runs constantly but never gets comfortable.

Weak airflow from the vents — a blower, duct, or filter problem.

Water pooling around the indoor unit — a blocked condensate drain.

Ice on the refrigerant lines or coil — low charge or airflow restriction; turn it off and call.

Loud or grinding noises from the outdoor unit.

Rising hydro bills in summer with no change in use.

What we do on an AC call

We diagnose before we quote

If refrigerant is low, we don’t treat repeated top-ups as a repair; we recommend finding the source of the loss before recharging. The $99 diagnostic comes off the bill if you proceed.

For replacements

We size the system to your home. An oversized AC cools fast but never runs long enough to pull humidity out, so the house feels cold and clammy at once. Right-sizing is the step that separates comfort from a machine that just runs.

Every installation includes the equipment, the install, removal of the old unit, the permit where required, commissioning, and the manufacturer warranty registered in your name.

Ductless mini-splits

Finished basements, additions, third-floor bedrooms, garage offices — spaces the original ductwork was never going to serve. A ductless mini-split cools (and can heat) these rooms without opening walls.

The AC systems we install

We install most major brands. Arcoaire and Goodman are our primary installation lines — we buy through our HVAC supplier and quote them as complete installed systems. Prefer another brand? We can quote sourcing and installation where available, and we service all major brands.

Refrigerant rules are changing across the industry (the R-410A phase-out). We’ll fit current-standard equipment and explain what it means for your system.
